I have read Shu Yamaguchi(山口周)’s book from KADOKAWA publisher, original Japanese title of 『読書を仕事につなげる技術』(my translation example: “The Art of Making Reading Books Lead to Business Opportunities”)
I think the title of this book great. When I first read it, I was moved to learn reading books can be a part of my work. As I have read many books over the years, I’ll be very happy if reading books can increase my business opportunities.
If I’d like to use the knowledge, I need to figure out how.
Until recently, for example, I read books about sales, but I didn’t have sales job, so I was impressed with the wisdom but couldn’t use the knowledge in my work.
But now I have decided to use it as part of my work, I will try using it to increase the number of readers of my website, for instance.
It may be a matter of will and thinking how.
Mr. Yamaguchi says, figuring out how to use the knowledge from books often matters more than the number of books you read.
I think writing book memos are the best way to keep record of what we have learned. We will write carefully if others read it too, and we can write down things which have made most impact to our minds. It’s a blessing that we can reread those memos later.
Let reading of books lead to business opportunities.
